Rathcline GAA Mothers and Others Initiative 2022 Click on the team photograph below to open a photo album of our first Mothers & Others training session in Clonbonny this evening (Wed 4th May 22) Rathcline GAA - Mothers and Others Initiative Up for a laugh, making new friends, or just getting away for an hour or two every week? We are hoping to start up a MOTHERS and OTHERS GAA Team within Rathcline GAA pending interest from the community. This is a brilliant non-competitive, fun way to get fit, keep fit and meet others within your area. Some points about this brilliant new initiative as follows: • Offer the chance to be socially active within the community • Provide women with an opportunity to be physically active within the non-competitive framework of the LGFA and to meet and socially interact with other women/mothers in the community or from nearby areas. • Serves to create a fun and social dimension to the existing ladies football club in Rathcline. • Provide women with the opportunity to play Ladies Gaelic Football recreationally in a non-competitive, inclusive environment. • Create awareness of Ladies Gaelic football in the community. • Being a mother is not a necessity, but participants must be 25+ years of age and not currently playing competitively with a club team. • Get the chance to play against other clubs and in blitzes (nothing too serious). • Above all, it's a great chance to make new friends, get a run-around, and take an hour for yourself. So, dust off the old boots, buy your first pair, or just enjoy a laugh and run around. No prior knowledge of football is required and all levels of fitness will be catered for. Before playing, we need a small bit of help setting up a structure to accommodate all of the above. Whether you intend to play or help, or if you know anyone that would be interested in this new exciting venture, please contact Michelle (086) 1699466 or Sheila (087) 9377839. This is going to be EPIC! |
